The ghostly form of Babette Sinclair strutted about her cluttered apartment in the iconic bodice and fishnet stockings of a Playboy Bunny. Velvet rabbit ears emerged from a flaxen helmet of Angie Dickinson hair. She carried a tray of cocktails and giggled loudly as unseen hands swatted at her fluffy tail.
Dandy Darkly once enjoyed this part of the process, letting an apparition tell her tail, as the case may be. Simple ghosts such as Babette, common localized manifestations with no free will or persona, tend to reveal a variety of things: who killed them, shameful secrets they carried to their grave, their happiest moments in life.
In her current state, Babette had no idea she was dead. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
